Estimated reading time: 8 minutes
Spring is in the air. The month of March has arrived, and the season of cute bunnies, colourful eggs, and greener gardens is just around the corner. Even though spring officially starts on March 20, we couldn’t wait to reveal these 10 reasons we love spring so much. Enjoy! Welcoming Springtime.
1. The Beautiful Sunshine
After a few weeks of snowstorms with lawns covered in huge piles of ice, the warmer yet pleasant weather is a welcome addition at this time of the year. Let this be a season that motivates you to do more, especially if you have been a couch potato throughout winter.
So whatever you do, no matter if it’s for physical, family, and friends, let the fun of spring guide you in the entire season.
2. Perfect for Mindfulness Activities
Spring is the best time to start a mindfulness exercise. However, that doesn’t mean that you have to do a complete meditation to achieve that clear state of mind. It is difficult to do so; why not engage in activities that focus solely on your mind? Be it yoga, journaling, or painting. Whatever action that relaxes your mind will do.
3. More Sunny Hours in a Day
Spring enables you to enjoy longer days and shorter nights because it is the perfect season to start a new hobby or project. If you are planning to try gardening, spring is the best season to start.
4. The Cutest Baby Animals
In a time of rebirth, baby animals are in abundance during spring—baby ducklings, baby rabbits, baby birds — just cute creatures everywhere.
5. Flowers Everywhere
Springtime is all about natural beauty, and you can bring that in if you have flowers planted in your garden. Just set up a colourful bouquet in a vase in your indoor space to carry that vibrant touch of the outdoors.
Buds of flowers peep out to see its beautiful sight. Flowers bloom and spread their sweet fragrance all around. They make us feel healthy.
However, if you do not have access to a garden, how about growing some indoor plants to add some green hues to your living spaces? Many plants require very little maintenance to stay green and healthy round-the-year and can be the perfect addition to your home this spring. We can use fake plants and flowers for spring home décor if caring for a live plant is not a workable option.
6. Fresh Breeze
When you head to a park in the spring, you will not only see the abundance of colours but will also be able to smell a difference in the air. Springtime just smells heavenly with the fragrance of flowers, the crispness of the morning air that is just losing its coolness under the sun’s heat, and the smell of the freshly moved grass.
Why not bring the same effect into your indoor environment, so it makes you breathe in just as deeply as you did in the park? You will need to purchase candles based on floral, fruity or fresh scents and light them up when you want to create the right ambience. Jar candles or tea light candle holders work best indoor since the air from ceiling fans is strong enough to extinguish a candle that is not adequately protected from the wind.
Open the windows and balcony doors can work like magic. Let the airflow and allow the sunlight to warm your interior naturally. You’ll feel the difference in your home’s interior yourself.
7. Workout Outside
Working out under the sun is preferable to working out in the cold, they say. This is the season where joggers will be happy to get back to their outdoor jogging routine. As the smell of flowers blooming again, the sounds of nature surrounding the great outdoors, what’s not to love? You can do almost anything, not just jogging. Be it biking, outdoor aerobics, yoga, and even playing sports such as badminton or volleyball. Time to get physical for a great spring season!
8. Spring Cleaning
Yes, it’s that time of the year again to clean up after a long winter of being around at your bed or fireplace for the whole time. It may sound like a chore, but having a neat space will make your home look spacious and your mind clearer from whatever clutter is around.
When you organise your home, it’ll make space for things that you may want to place in that area, reflecting on your mental health. The more organised and neat everything is, you will have a logical mind that helps you think and do more.
9. Recharging Trips to Nature
If one were to step out of the house, you could hear the whipping of the wind. The spring is finally here! People wait for this season for an outing as the climate becomes mild. They enjoy picnics during this season. Nature gives a grand feast to our hungry eyes.
We feel fresh all the time, and this is the major attraction of the spring. Spring is the symbol of life. It brings richness and rashness everywhere. We can fill the air and the earth with new life, giving us new hopes and aspirations. The sight of a mountain isn’t less beautiful. There we can see nature in its actual colour. No one does not praise the beauty of the spring. Welcoming springtime is a must!
10. Easter
We also associated spring with colourful Easter. This festive season is the best time to spend much-needed quality time with your loved ones. So you can decorate your house using different Easter wall art. You can enjoy all the joyful traditions and enter this new season with a smile on your face.
11. Green is Great
Gone are the days where you have a sip of myriad bowls of soup to stay warm in winter. Now is the season to munch on salad, fish, and any kinds of leafy greens to get back to your healthy lifestyle. Incorporate greens back into your diet, and your body will thank you later.
12. Reconnect
Now the winter has gone back to its bed, it’s time to re-enter and reconnect with our friends and family. Many of us have stayed in our homes during winter or an extended lockdown, but the warmer weather can serve as a motivator for us to get out and socialise. Call a friend, plan a weekend getaway, or just hang out and have fun. Whatever you do, having quality time with your loved ones under the heat of spring is a pleasant experience.

As a Canadian I truly appreciate Spring time. We often still have snow during the spring solstice, but the temperatures begin to warm and the snow begins to melt.

Spring is definitely my favorite season. There is something special in the air, the spirit of revival and rejuvenation, and a chance to start something new. I also love your spring time blog ideas. I might steal a few:)

Green is great, true! I looked at the sad trees along the roads today and mentioned that I couldn’t wait to see them green soon! Getting there, day by day!
