Firstly, the progress in the St James project is going very well, which delighted us. A church to residential conversion. As the construction materials shortage will continue, the prices of materials such as timber and steel could keep rising throughout 2021. The building materials shortage disproportionately affects builders and threatens their recovery from the pandemic despite solid growth in the construction sector.
The original lockdown severely affected the production of building materials when many factories and timber mills closed. Since reopening, companies have struggled to catch up as pandemic-related restrictions held back production. Meanwhile, the global demand spiked as economies reopened.
During construction, our developers still have a high spirit of running this project positively by maintaining the quality and design. Besides that, these new timber window templates are for the Church windows. Consequently, they have reduced the construction material costs, giving a positive effect on their business budget.
