They are the future force of tomorrow, placing a high-value open workplace with less emphasis on company hierarchy.
The world has changed ever since this pandemic sets in. To stay afloat with the game; a resilience in mental agility comprising self-efficacy, adaptability, flexibility, the internal focus of control, learning process and determination; play very important roles in all segments of life, work, career and economy.
Building high-performing teams and develop the future leaders of the company.
‘New Normal’ captures the emerging truth that change and volatility will continue to speed up and intensify. Equally important, I believe many leaders have been led to think will level out again; and that there will once again be stable times they can get their arms around.
New normal has the greatest implication for leaders because it makes the role of leadership both more important and more difficult.
Transforming from normal to new normal leadership is the single most important variable in sustainable success.
To me, millennial leadership is highly collaborative because they consult with managers, peers, mentors, and other advisors before deciding. With their networks always at the tips of their fingers, they can quickly consult with their trusted circle of advisors or crowdsource an answer to a question.
It’s not about giving them the keys to the castle that they haven’t yet earned, it’s about showing them the steps to take to get those keys. Therefore, give them measurable goals and hold them responsible for achieving them.
Providing millennials with something to work towards helps them understand how their role plays into the bigger picture, because they want to know that their work matters – the value.
I am looking forward to sharing these books with my vets to expand their horizon and their career pathway. Super excited!
