Being financially literate is one of the most important milestones in my life. The ability to understand and properly apply financial planning management skills in life allows me to make informed and effective decisions with all the financial resources.

Those old days, when I was young and foolish. Spent everything on my first paycheck. Had my credit card declined simply due to overspending? Missed my monthly payment (Bank wouldn’t want to listen to all the excuses—You have to pay on time!). Having a bad credit score. The word saving or investment didn’t exist in my vocabulary because simply I was not educated at all on financial planning. I didn’t learn that in school either.

With all the financial turbulence in my life, I have learnt the hard way, but it was the greatest thing that I have ever learnt. Everybody wants Financial Freedom but do they really know the Fundamental of Financial Planning? Without Financial Literacy, how on earth all the financial matters could be planned and structured properly and be free forever?

Effective planning, properly managing debt, accurately calculating interest, and understanding the time value of money are characteristics of being financially literate.

From a self-assessment survey that I did on my staff. 40% no Savings, 45% no awareness on Assets and Liabilities, 77% no knowledge on Cash Flow.

I am glad and happy to add values in their lives. Enriching their personal financial planning through mentoring and coaching. And is not just being a veterinarian, but is more than that!
