Updated: March 17, 2022 – Nature is the New Luxury in Our Life
Estimated reading time: 2 minutes
One of the most striking things about living through the lockdown is the collective realisation that nature; and the local environment has become one of our most prized assets.
The peace of a morning mug of coffee with my cereal and milk sitting on my sofa; while looking at my beautiful soothing orchids is much more tranquil; than looking at smoke engines and local motorbikes struggling to beat the morning traffic.
Long periods of lockdown and staying at home scenarios; meant we had no choice but to take advantage of what’s on our doorstep. This led more of us to explore and notice the green spaces we never knew existed; and discover nature in a way we never really appreciated before.
Knowing how good escaping into nature can make us feel. I hope when we return to normal or create our new normal, we will appreciate how being immersed in nature makes a positive difference in our lives.
It seems the pandemic has made people feel more connected with nature. Therefore, nature has become a luxury for most of us.
I will believe that many people will come out of this extraordinary time in our history; with a higher level of mindfulness and appreciation for what natural gifts we have on our doorstep; and how a resourceful spirit can help us live more sustainable lives.
‘If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.’βLaura Ingalls Wilder.

We absolutely need this. I just came back from the adventure in Borneo to see the orang utans. Hopefully my video will be out in my YouTube Channel in 2-3 months time.

While I can still manage it, I will try to be close to nature as frequent as possible.

Very true. Nature is underappreciated. Since the start I’ve never been more tempted to just book it to the canyons. Nice read!

You can try the boat ride, 3 days 2 nights adventure in the Tanjung Puting National Park in Kalimantan Tengah, Indonesia. You will have an amazing experience.
